Welcome to your new guild site! This post is meant to introduce you to some of the features and customization options you have on this site. You can add new posts using the "Add a Post" button at the top of the page. If you are a guild administrator, you can delete this post from your Control Panel.
Site Features
To help you get started, here are just some of the features that you should make sure to try out. You can enable each of these features from your Control Panel.
- Guild Recruitment is an extremely useful tool for advertising to visitors that you are looking for new members. In addition, if you enable recruitment, your guild will appear in the WowStead Guild Recruitment Tool, where users can easily find information about your recruiting needs.
- To enable recruitment, first make sure the the 'Guild Recruitment' module is enabled from the General Settings page of the Control Panel. After enabling the module, go to the Recruitment page of the Control Panel. You'll find this link in the 'Site Features' section. From this page simply check the 'Currently Recruiting' checkbox and click the 'Save' button.
- To enable the calendar, first make sure the module is enabled from the General Settings page of the Control Panel. Then go to the Calendar page of the Control Panel.
- On this page, you can create new calendar events by selecting the 'New Events' button at the top of the page. You can also sync your guild calendar with a character's in-game calendar by using the WowArmory's calendar feed tool. To do so, simply follow the instructions below the calendar.
- Wowstead allows you to easily download commonly used addons directly from your guild site! To enable this, make sure the module from the General Settings page of the Control Panel. Then go to the Addons page of the Control Panel.
- WowStead's progression tool allows site visitors to see your guild's progress in an easily summarized fashion.
Customizing Your Site
Even though Wowstead requires very little initial setup, you are still given a number of powerful tools to personalize and customize your guild site.
Wowstead Content Management System (CMS)
The Wowstead CMS is an incredibly powerful tool that lets you create pages, posts, FAQs, galleries and other content for your site.
You can access the CMS by going to the control panel and accessing the control pages under "News & Media".
Layout, Theme & Widget Placement
- You can easily change your site's layout, theme and widget placement by going to the Customize Site page of the Control Page in the 'Site Configuration' section.
Guild Ranks
To rename your guild ranks, simply go to the Ranks & Permissions page of the control panel, inh the 'Guild Management' section.
- Wowstead can detect the number of active ranks in your guild. The ranks are defaulted to Guild Master (Rank 0) and Rank 1 through Rank 9 - where Rank 1 is the highest and Rank 9 is the lowest. You can determine what site permissions a rank has using the Manage Permissions button to the right of a given rank. Users will be automatically granted site permissions based on the in-game rank of their character.
- You can create custom ranks using the "Create New Role" button in the upper right of the Ranks & Permissions control page. Custom ranks can be used to assign privilege to guild members in addition to their default guild rank permissions.
Site Navigation
- You can edit your site's navigation menu by going to the Navigation page of the Control Panel, in the 'Site Configuration' section. Here, you can create and edit navigation links, or restrict them to certain guild ranks and create new links.

Story Of Exile!We are a newly founded yet veteran PvE end game progression guild, our main core left Aphorism due to an announced summer-break aswell as being very unhappy with the way things became since management changed. We hand picked 17 core raiders we felt are having the raid performance and dedication needed to take end game progression seriously ( Gunning for Realm Firsts and rapid progress in hard mode content ), play at the standards we require whilst raiding but also keep a friendly / fun and mature atmosphere in raids which makes raiding very enjoyable with us.
What can we offer you ?
An extremely dedicated end game raiding environment that strives to be among the server's top progression wise and is founded by people with previous high level raid leading and management experience. As stated above, our main core was hand picked from the people we felt confident bringing from Aphorism. We're expecting to be ready and set for good and fast progression through the Ruby Sanctum and complete our main goal of taking down the Lich King on 25 Heroic Mode in still a respectable time before Cataclysm.
What do we expect from you as applicants:
We require that you are a person with a high play time and always strive to improve your class performance and dedication to end game raiding. You must be able to connect and communicate on ventrilo. A previous background of end game raiding is a huge plus aswell. Also a ded ication when it comes to new content, making your self prepared with the information needed for rapid progression, being able to see the serious side aswell as the fun side towards raiding progression and keeping yourself calm and mature during boss encounters / towards other guild members. You must have a basic understanding of the English language and be able to communicate clearly on Vent whilst speaking it as-well as typing in game.For applications to even nearly be taken seriously / evaluated we must be able to see that time and effort has been put into creating it and you really have a desire to join our Raiding Team for good intentions, Logs of your DPS or Healing is another huge bonus towards us taking your application seriously and securing your spot with us.
Recruitment:
We are currently open to consider all class applications if we believe they are exceptional players and they can prove it from their application effort, current content experience and attitude towards wanting to be apart of our highly skilled raiding team.
Here are the Classes / Roles we are only mostly interested in taking on-board currently although we are mostly full at the moment so only out-standing applicants will be considerd.Paladin: Holy
Druid: Feral Dps / Tank
Priest: Shadow / Holy / Disc
Warlock: Affliction / DemoRaid Days / Time:
We are a 3 days raiding guild having our main 25 man raids on: Wedensdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Invites start at 18.45 and raid ends at 23.00 (In rare occasions it may be extended depending on the current situation during the raid and if everybody is available to stay).We are assambling some 10 man raids on Monday and Tuesday nights from 19.00 till 23.00 - these are not manditory but provide us with some extra gear and knowledge/ practice on boss mechanics with new content.We also set up a 25 man alt / pug run on Friday nights from 19:00 - 23:00 aiming to do as much progression / farming possible with serious alts which is 100% optional and only created for fun.We understand people may have real life commitments / families / work issues from time to time affecting their raiding which is completely fine as long as it is not persistent and we are informed about it within a respectable time before scheduled raids.EPGP Looting System ( Effort Points / Gear Points )We have agreed that whilst spending our time raiding in Aphorism we highly enjoyed using the EPGP looting system which was created by the original GM of Apho and have agreed it is a perfect and 100% fair way of handling loot within our raids so will continue to use it for many, many days to come.EPGP basically consists of 3 main components used to determine who gets certain loot items once it drops-First we have Effort Points which is obtained by attending raids or being on standby for raids at a set 1000 EP per 15 minutes of being active or ready to be active during our 25 man raids.Second we have Gear Points, Each item that drops will have a fixed GP price which will be added onto your current Gear Points on the EPGP addon.. In short the more items you obtain the higher your GP becomes lowering your priority on gaining loot ( Which I will now explain ).Thirdly we have your Priority or ( PR ) .. Put in a mathematical equation PR = EP / GP, The EPGP addon has a list of all the current active raiders in guild and can show you everybody's EP - GP and PR effectively. PR is the priority each person has to obtain loot over other players in the guild / raid, Put into simple terms your priority on loot will rise as you begin to obtain Effort Points which is rewarded for raiding or being available to raid and the priority will drop once you begin to obtain gear points from taking loot in raids.Decay - To stop gear points rising too high resulting in raiders not having any decent priority on loot and in the reverse affect to stop raiders stacking effort points so they can obtain obscene amounts of priority on loot there will be a 7% decay on both GP and EP after every single 25 man raid ( 3 times a week ) so it is actually more wise to take upgrades during raids since the gear points shall be decayed down again instead of trying to stack effort points for desired single huge upgrade items.Another very nice feature for using this Loot System is that new trials / members rapidly gain priority since they start collecting the Effort Points with no Gear Points resulting in them being able to obtain loot pretty shortly after begging to raid with us, meaning long time raiders do not have too much of an advantage over loot.. although trials will not have any priority on loot over member ranked or higher raiders in the guild until they obtain member rank themselves.. the only way they are capable of gaining loot in our raids until proven worthy for promotion is if nobody else is needing certain items.All in all the EPGP looting system is flawless and as fair as possible which makes a huge bonus being part of our raiding team.If you wish to learn more about the way we dish out loot during raids whilst using this system then please visit our forums ( A thread will be posted shortly explaining more on the loot rules )If you wish to learn more about the EPGP Looting System then please visit this link - http://www.epgpweb.com/help/system--------------------------------Special Thanks -We would like to say a huge thankyou to everybody who has taken this leap of faith with us from Aphorism and we promise to deliver the dedication and effort into fixing up an insane Raiding Team capable of racing for Realm Firsts along side the top dogs of Sunstrider whilst still being able to keep the spirit and fun atmosphere.---------------------------------Thankyou for taking some time to read a bit about us, if you wish to learn more about us or have any questions please don't hesitate to contact one our current Management Team -Guild Master - DooshiOfficers - Lynchor, Xirium.
